Our second event of the season is in the books. Results are posted here. The morning was better suited to ducks and geese as it rained pretty hard, giving us a slower than usual start, but 37 enthusiasts braved the weather. Morning runs were pretty wet, but the afternoon dried up and, except for the stream at the north end of the course, track conditions were pretty good. Thanks to everyone for coming out and making another successful event. See you June 3 for our co-hosted event with Madison Sports Car Club at Madison Speedway.

The extension of our garage is currently ongoing. It's nothing extravagant. We just added additional corrugated roof panels. We won't be adding walls anymore. The design looked more like a miniature arena or stadium. The reason for this is because we are planning to hold parties and mini concerts in that area and we have the convenience of the audience in mind. We wanted everyone to feel comfortable and normally the people at the back would need to be elevated so they can see what's happening in front.

Whoever designed all those medieval stadiums were geniuses. It takes a lot of science to erect large structures. It's also not easy to orchestrate movement of workers knowing there are no large construction equipments during those period. They really are built to last. They have the best stone cutters. They did a better job than what engineers are doing now. It is really master planned. We can learn a lot from how people do it during medieval times. I don't agree with slavery but their work designs maybe something we can replicate.
